[Updated 10/2/24] NEW combined list of pre & post trade deadline CS 4 releases will be shown here. EFFECTIVE 10/17/17 a change to the CS 4 Contract Expiration rule has been added and will be enforced for all CS 4 players moving forward from the announcement date.
- CS 4 Contract Expiration Rule: As of Week 7 Waivers of the 2017 season, any and all players that reach a CS 4 status due to protection during the preceding Free Agency Period and enter the following season (kept thru final cuts) as a CS 4 shall become UFA in the following FA Period REGARDLESS of roster status during the season following their bump to CS 4 status. The only exception to this rule shall be and CS 4 player that is eligible for the IR Exemption rule during/after their CS 4 season. This means any CS 4 player that is waived for any reason during their final contract season will remain a CS 4 even if signed by another team or resigned by the original team.
The following previously CS4 players who were either a healthy waive by their teams before the trade deadline, or are now either out for the season due to injury and were an injury waiver either before or after the trade deadline are listed here. By rule, injured players out for the season (on and NFL IR) are ineligible to be signed on waivers for the remainder of the year. CS4 players may ONLY be released from their BSL teams after the yearly trade deadline if they have a season ending injury (defined as enough time to miss the remainder of the BSL regular season). Any player on this list will be eligible for the FA auction in the summer of 2020 as an UFA.
